Setup

Claude and ChatGPT: add a connector

No API key needed. Add a custom connector with this URL, then sign in to Hark and allow access when asked:

- Claude (web and desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- ChatGPT: custom connectors need developer mode, which you turn on in Settings, on plans that offer it.
Connected apps are listed on the API keys page, where you can disconnect them.
Claude Code, Cursor and other clients: use an API key

Create one on the API keys page. Keys start with hark_ and can read every site on your account, so keep them out of shared repos.

Other clients: use the streamable HTTP transport, the URL https://harkstats.com/mcp and the header Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY. Clients that support OAuth can sign in instead, like the connectors above.

What it can read

list_sites	Your sites and their timezones
get_stats	Visitors, pageviews, sessions, bounce rate and session length, with the change on the period before
get_timeseries	The same numbers by hour, day or month
get_breakdown	Top sources, channels (including AI assistants), pages, entry and exit pages, countries, regions, cities, devices, browsers, UTM tags, goals and custom properties
get_realtime	Who's on the site now, and the latest pageviews
list_properties	The custom properties your events send

Every tool takes the dashboard's periods (today, 7 or 30 days, month to date, 12 months) or any date range up to three years, and the same filters.

On every plan

Starter 1,000 tool calls a day
Pro 5,000 tool calls a day
Business 20,000 tool calls a day

The free trial has Starter's allowance. Every plan allows up to 60 calls a minute. Days reset at midnight UTC.

Where your stats go

Answers are sent to the assistant you connect, and its provider handles them under its own terms. They're aggregate numbers: Hark never collects anything that identifies a visitor, so there's none to share.
